Stakeholder and Farmer Visits Were Initiated in 10 Selected Basins

Within the framework of our project, stakeholder and farmer visits were initiated in 10 selected basins with the goal of revealing the current situation of nitrate contamination in Turkey, including its technical, legal, and social elements. The enterprises identified in the Ergene-Meriç, Gediz, and Fırat basins were inspected in the first stage, and surveys prepared by project experts were used. These basins will be followed by visits to the basins of Antalya, Susurluk, Konya, Seyhan, Sakarya, and the Eastern Black Sea. Fieldwork is expected to be finished by the end of May 2022.
